Hi, **waving** my name is Stephanie; I have been married
since 1999 to my soul mate, Christopher. We have been blessed with FOUR,
incredible children. My oldest, Ashlynn Marie is 10, and is such an amazing
helper, and is my new aspiring sewer.
Chase William is 8, and he is my Lego loving, future engineer of some
sort. Ava Evelyn is 2 ½, and she keeps me on my toes, and is my entertainment. Hayven
Rae is about to turn 1, her smile could melt a glacier, and her cackles are
soup to the soul. We are self-employed; we own a Decorative Concrete Company,
Elite Concrete Solutions, since 2002. I
am a “Stay at Home” Mom, It makes me cringe to say or hear that, if I had time
to explain when questioned about what I do for a living, my occupation and the
credentials required are not delivered in a single word or phrase. There seems
to be a ridiculous preconceived notion that we have it easy. Here’s what I
would love to explain when questioned…Okay **deep breath**…As a “SAHM” I am a
Counselor, Mediator, Tutor, Chauffer, Short Order Cook and Chef, Personal
Stylist, Custodial Engineer (Maid), Launderer, Event Planner, Item Location
Specialist (Mom, Where’s my…), Bodyguard (Seriously though hurt one of my kids
and I will hunt you down, if only I would have the guts to do this for myself),
Cheerleader, Nutritionist, Process Instructor (It’s like they forget each day
the tasks required to accomplish anything**I’m working on this one**), Nurse,
First Aid Administer, Compromise Specialist, and personal assistant to my
husband and children. When I mentioned self-employment, I’m the bookkeeper
also. Let’s not forget; I have the privilege of changing dirty diapers for my 2
and 1 year olds, jealous?? The credentials required for a “SAHM”; must be able
to function without sleep, the patience of a saint, require no acknowledgement for
set duties, No sick or vacation days allowed, must be strong hearted, and the
ability to forecast future (Every time I tell my children things such as, move
your drink before it spills, seconds later I’m cleaning up said drink. It’s a
gift **giggling**. I am also a proud mom to my furry 3 year old Boxer, Rocco.
He is an incredible family dog, and also has the patience of a saint. We are
God’s children, and proud to be laying that foundation in our children’s
lives. I decided to start this blog to
document our journey, to offer tips and tricks of how we do things, to share my
love for creating, repurposing, and decorating on a budget. I love products
that simplify life and wanted to share my experiences with the ones I’ve tried.
I also would love feedback on my posts, if you have anything to add, an idea,
tips, or advice. Lastly, I wanted to help with financially caring for my family
and future (“SAHM” syndrome) and if this fun endeavor creates that, even
better, huh?!!? Thank you for taking the time to learn more about our adventure
filled life. I hope you find information you’re looking for, a good laugh or
inspiration for your next project.
